- API
- A structured way for two programs to exchange data and services securely.

- BIM
- A methodology for creating a digital building model that combines geometry and data across the project lifecycle.

- DSM / DTM
- Digital elevation models: the surface model includes buildings and trees; the terrain model represents bare ground.

- GIS (Geographic Information System)
- A system for capturing, storing, analysing and displaying location-based data on maps.

- Least privilege
- Giving each user or system only the minimum permissions needed for their work.

- Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Verifying identity with more than one factor, such as a password and an app-generated code.

- Orthomosaic
- An aerial image stitched from many photos and geometrically corrected so it can be measured accurately.

- Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)
- The Saudi law regulating the collection and processing of personal data and the rights of data subjects.

- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- An approach where an AI model answers using your organisation’s documents, citing sources.

- SaaS
- Software delivered over the internet by subscription rather than installed locally.
- Structured cabling
- A standardised, organised and documented network cabling system that eases management and growth.

- Thermal imaging
- Imaging that shows temperature differences, used to spot hot-spots in electrical equipment and solar panels.
